An Indiana dog has a new lease on life after a group of cave divers discovered him at the bottom of a 30-foot pit while they were exploring caves in the Dewey Hickman Nature Preserve (via WLKY). The group rescued the dog and placed him in the care of Harrison County Animal Control.
A dog named Poppy unexpectedly died after giving birth to a litter of ten puppies. Once her foster parents learned that another rescue dog, Pepper, had just recently lost her entire litter, they decided to introduce her to the pups.
The Chaffins can only wonder what their beloved Bella went through during her harrowing adventure. “How does any dog survive in the White River National Forest for a month, much less an eight-pound, ten-month-old, little Cockapoo?” the Chaffins wrote.
